About the project
Chartwell is a personal, not-for-profit project intended to make public official data easier to access and use. It is free, non-commercial and provided as-is, without guarantees that every feature or source will always work.
Informational use
Chartwell is a research, analysis and chart-production tool. It does not provide investment, financial, legal or tax advice, and its outputs are not recommendations to buy, sell or hold any asset.
Official source data
Each provider remains responsible for its published data, revisions, methods and terms. Check important figures and release information against the current original source before relying on or publishing them.
Market data
Market prices may be delayed, adjusted, incomplete or subject to separate vendor terms. They are supplied for charting and research—not order execution or real-time trading decisions.
Exports & attribution
Exports may include required source notes, provider names and attribution. Removing them can make an output misleading or breach provider conditions. Some sources restrict formats or downstream use.
Open-source software
Chartwell is built with R and open-source R packages, fonts and data interfaces under their respective licences. The Mac installer will include a third-party notices record.

Chartwell’s name, icon, visual system and original application materials are © 2026 Joel F. Provider names and marks belong to their respective owners and do not imply endorsement.
